How to comfort your child when he is crying
Your baby himself knows best what he needs. Comforting tips with a guaranteed positive effect do not exist. However, it is often the 'classic tips' that work the best. Walk calmly with your baby through the room and swing him a little up and down and sing a song for him. Look at him in a calm way and try to look peaceful so your calmness radiates on him. Do the same with your voice. Speak slowly, quietly and in a sweet tone. This reassures him and tells him that you understand and are there for him. However young he is, he may not understand the exact meaning of the words, but he feels the intent of the words and that makes him calm.
Your baby's mental development is very important and significant. It affects not only your baby's mood, but also his health, his intelligence, his sleeping pattern, the three C’s (crying, clinginess, crankiness), and much more. Once you understand your baby’s mental development, you can help your baby in so many ways.
